About Us

GONY Architect & Planner PC was founded in 2012 by Vitaly Ganopolsky, RA with the goal of providing architectural services for the diverse New York housing market. Upon gaining local recognition, the company quickly expanded its range of services to include Zoning Evaluations, Interior Design, Public Art and Construction Management. The firm’s focus has shifted to the more complex commercial projects in Retail, Hospitality and Early Education. Geography of the projects expended outside tri-state area and include various locations in the United States and Europe.

GONY Architect & Planner PC’s independent commissions include: Desheli Cosmetics NYC Offices, Curzon House Penthouse Renovation in Manhattan, Prognimak Condominiums in Brooklyn, multiple branches of USA Vein Clinic, Philly Pretzel Factory chain and many more.

The firm’s current design portfolio gravitates toward commercial space planning in Retail, Healthcare, and Hospitality. In addition, GONY has been involved in several successful residential projects, ranging from one-family dwelling renovations to the development of multistory housing. GONY staff expertise in design and construction allows for a seamless transition from blueprint to the completed space, ready for use!

Vitaly Ganopolsky

Vitaly Ganopolsky, RA is the founder and president of GONY Architect & Planner P.C. His professional career spans more than 30 years, working in the public and private sector of the United States and Ukraine.

Vitaly Ganopolsky holds two bachelor’s degrees in Architecture, from PRATT Institute (1995) and Odessa State Academy of Architecture and Engineering (formerly Odessa Institute of Civil Engineering) (1990) where his thesis project was awarded Second Degree Diploma at the National Architectural Competition...

Arkady Shenderovich

Arkady Shenderovich, PE has been a member of the GONY team since its inception in 2012 and became Senior Associate in 2014. He plays a vital role in our design process. His more than 25 years of experience as a structural engineer allows for maximum flexibility and ensures the most efficient design solution.

In addition, Arkady’s valuable experience with NYC Department of Buildings as the Plan Examiner provides strong background for NYC DOB filing, approval and sign-off procedures. GONY staff completely relies on his judgment in NYC/NYS Building Codes and NYC Zoning Regulations analysis. He oversees all our city agency expediting effort.
Konstantin Hart

Konstantin Hart joint GONY Architect and became an associate in 2016. With over 45 years of the experience in commercial and residential design he is the most experienced member of the ream.

During his long successful career Konstantin won multiple design awards and authored several professional publications. He holds PHD in Architecture from Ukrainian National University of Architecture and Construction.
Leon Cherevko

Leon Cherevko has joint GONY staff in 2017 in order to oversee development of the Mechanical Systems, Plumbing and Fire Supplession construction documentation. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in MEP design, and implementation of the projects.

Mr. Cherevko portfolio includes institutional projects, restaurants, gymnasiums, office buildings and large-scale residential developments. Leon graduated from The Polytechnic College of Belarus with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1983.
