Vitaly Ganopolsky
Vitaly Ganopolsky, RA is the founder and president of GONY Architect & Planner P.C. His professional career spans more than 30 years, working in the public and private sector of the United States and Ukraine.
Vitaly Ganopolsky holds two bachelor’s degrees in Architecture, from PRATT Institute (1995) and Odessa State Academy of Architecture and Engineering (formerly Odessa Institute of Civil Engineering) (1990) where his thesis project was awarded Second Degree Diploma at the National Architectural Competition.
Prior to establishing GONY Architect & Planner PC, Vitaly Ganopolsky worked for several prominent architectural firms, such as Cabrera/Barricklo Architects, Stephan B. Jacobs Group, Tony Chi and Associates, Arthur Laski Architects and etc. In 1997 he has joined New York City Transit Capital Program Management, where he played a key role in the design of Stillwell Avenue Terminal in Brooklyn’s Coney Island, project, that has opened doors for the revitalization and socio-economic enhancement of one of the most historically significant areas of South Brooklyn. The project was presented with the Circle of Design Excellence Award in 2004.
After establishing GONY Architect & Planner PC in 2012, Vitaly began to develop firm’s portfolio in Healthcare, Early Education, Hospitality and Residential design. He is overseeing all of the Firm’s design and construction administration contracts, personally guiding design staff and sub-consultants to ensure, that the finished project meets all of the client’s requirements and established guidelines.
